BurgerBlog # 3 Romers Burger Bar

Welcome to my 3rd BurgerBlog.

This time I decided to take my burger blog to a place I passed by several times in the last year but never took the extra step and actually eat there.

To be clear I do expect every fine establishment that has the name burger on its front sign to have a great burger served inside.

It is unacceptable for a business to call it self a burger … and not serve great burgers.

Without even knowing it Romer's Burgers raised my expectation bar while I didn't even step a foot in their door.

Last time my expectation bar was high the establishment ended up failing, this time I am hoping for a higher score.

The Romer's restaurant I went to was located on 1873 West 4th Ave in Kitsilano.  http://romersburgerbar.com/

The space looked pretty cool and inviting right from the get go.

The menu is pretty self explanatory but in case you find the variety to be a little overwhelming the staff will be more than happy to narrow down the perfect burger for you.

There were 15 hamburgers to choose from which already made me feel like a kid in a candy store or in this case Ben in a burger bar.

As i'm a big fan of Mushrooms I decided to go with the promising " Magic Mushroom " burger.

Magic Burger

My friend Douglas ( the same guy from the first BurgerBlog and the same guy who introduced me to the La Brasserie burger ) joined me this time to taste and sound his opinion.

Douglas went with the Man's Burger which got really good reviews on Yelp.

My burger was in my opinion almost as good as the famous La Brasseri burger, the bun was fluffy the mushrooms and caramelized onions were amazing and the patty was cooked to perfection.

My friend's Douglas burger as I hear was great as well, take in consideration that Douglas still refuses to admit that there might be a better burger in Vancouver than the one he discovered which might make it difficulty on his reviews as he is a little biased.

He said that his burger patty was too well done, I call foul cause mine was awesome but yet again it's a free country and he deserves an opinion.

We went with the regular fries as we wanted to keep it simple and stick to the basics, they were served hot and not greasy at all.

Looking back a burger and fires will cost you around $15 which is what you should expect to pay for a good burger in Vancouver.

If you choose to add a beverage you will end up with a $20 meal.

I have to be honest I liked my burger so much and I was so hungry that I was wanted to order another burger, with 15 different burgers to choose out of I really felt like I need to try as many as I can before I leave, Douglas said that its not a good idea so I didn't.

Thanks Douglas.

To conclude; Romers burger has some amazing burgers to choose out of, I will defiantly go back to try some of the other 14 flavours I did not try.

Thanks for reading.
